Waconia Mini Storage – FAQ’s

 

  • What is the minimum length of time I can rent a unit?

Our minimum lease requirement is only two (2) months.  After that time each tenant may continue to rent on a month-to-month basis.

  • Is a Deposit required?

No.  We no longer ask for a deposit. Current customers that have deposits will be fully refunded as long as the tenant provides the required written notice of planned move-out (10 days), has nothing due on account, and removes all items from the storage unit.  Once this is confirmed, a refund check will be mailed.

  • Can I move in or out at anytime during a month?  How will I be charged?

Of course!  Your rental period will begin on the day that you sign the rental agreement and thus have access to your unit.  Should this be after the first of the month, you will only pay for the remaining days of that initial month.  From that point forward, you will be renting in full month increments.  Should you need to move out prior to the end of your last month, no refund will be given for the remaining days of that month.

  • How will I be notified when my payment is due?

Payments are due on the first day of the month. Invoices will be sent by email if you have one on file otherwise it will be mailed approximately 15 days before the next due date.  

  • What forms of payment do you accept:

We accept all Major Credit Cards, Cash, Bank Checks. 

Many people find it vary convenient to set up their account using our Auto Pay by calling us to set it up or by visiting our  website.  Please note if you choose to use Auto Pay, you will still receive an invoice every month as a reminder for your budgeting purposes.

  • Do you run special promotions ?

Yes form time to time we do have Move-in Specials. Please note we do not haggle on rent and feel that it is most fair to offer the same low rate to all customers. We do reserve the right to raise the rent at any time. 

  • When will I have access to my unit?

Access 24 hours a day.  Security lighting will be on from dusk to dawn at the facility.

  • Can I leave my unit unlocked?

For the security of the entire facility, we require that all units remain locked at all times that you are not physically at the unit. If we find a unsecured unit, we will call you first to have you secure it. If the unit is left unsecured we will then secure the unit to secure your belongings. Fee’s may apply.

  • Do you have climate controlled units available?

No.  Our units are not climate controlled nor do they have electrical service to them.

  • Do you have storage auctions like we see on TV?

Yes, On very rare occasion, we will have a tenant that may abandon their property.  If this is the case, notices of any auction will be placed in the local paper prior to the auction date.  As stated earlier, this happens very rarely at this location.

  • What areas do you serve?

We commonly serve the following cities: Waconia, Victoria, Cologne, St. Bonifacius, Watertown, Mayer, Norwood, Victoria, Young America, Chaska, Chanhassen, Minnetrista, Mound, Carver, and New Germany.
